The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed in regards to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level produced for intervention experiences a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office status sassa to attend to status sassa all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
